i just quit! after 2 and a half years.

I've heard that the damage is never fully repaired, but that mostly the damage takes as long to go away as how long you smoked. If that's the case, then you have 2 1/2 years recovery. Of course, consulting your doctor is always best.

Your body starts to repair its self almost as soon as you quit, but you will always have a degree of risk from having been a smoker. Quiting is probably the best thing you could do to save your life and health.

Stay clean, I quit after 26 years of smoking and have been clean for 12 and I FEEL GREAT.
