Although I have great respect for Mark twain's sayings and writtings, I don't agree with this particular one.. humans may have the ability to view or consider the experience of other selves.. that they have the ability to learn form it is not proven .. as a matter of fact it has not been proven that human beings can learn anything at all.. we are just conditionned into thinking that we can learn and understand.. it has been imposed to us by a 'larger' mind.. we are really carrying out its commands.. what planet did you come from..and where have you been lately??

Yes you're right but don't forget about individuals! Som people will refuse to learn from their experience while others will! And the latter will base any further moves on past experience, so as to ensure they do not repeat past mistakes.

Quite true. Mark Twain shared your view. Wonder why we are like that? I don't think I am.
