No, I really don't think intelligence is a factor by itself. I do think that how intelligence is employed is a factor. When a person uses a portion of his/her intelligence to reason, rather than get angry, it influences him/her to have patience. But overall, the individual person decides whether or not to employ a portion of his/her intelligence that way. I suppose someone making the decision in that direction would come back to a person's upbringing or their attitude. There are so many factors that play a part, but I don't think intelligence by itself is a factor.

No - because how else would you explain the patience that teachers and professors have - they're intelligent but don't often get angry (or at least they're not supposed to.). Perhaps tolerance and the recognition that there are lots of different ways to live life prepare some people better than others, so that they are less likely to become angry. My belief is that anger is a manifestation of some other insecurity in your life - everyone feels it as everyone is a little insecure.

It depends on which kind intelligence you're talking about. If you're talking about a high IQ, I think it doesn't make a difference in getting angry or frustrated maybe you even get frustrated sooner because you just don't get it why people don't seem to be able to follow you when you are saying something that's so obviously logical to you. If you have a high EQ I think you don't get upset that quickly because you can understand the feelings of a lot of people including yourself and you can more or less predict how people are going to react and therefore they don't get the chance to upset you so much.

hmmmm... it might. Especially if the insult was subtle. A more intelligent person might catch on faster. It really depends upon the situation though.
