You have to have permision, or rather it has to be authorized by someone first before you cna go out on leave for any extended period of time. If you have it cleared before you actually leave you can not be fired and if you are, you can sue and you will win as long as you had clearance to be off on leave.

If going with due permission, you shall not be fired. Rest assured. Good luck and enjoy your leave.

You have to have the leave authorised by someone to be able to take it...you could well be terminated for breach of contract and protocols, be very careful and try to sort it out first

Better seek approval first before you go on leave. Is this really important? Is it life-threatening? Better safe than sorry.
