I have motorola C117 with free incoming for 2 yrs from airtel. It is sim-locked as well as network-locked. How can I unlock it so that I can use it with other service providers. Pls advise.

u need to get puck no.that actually resides with ur opertor.contact them n give the no. written at ur sim's backside

More yahoo answerer's will suggest u to "give PUK".
But, the best way to remove any password from mobile phone to unlock it, is to connect it to a dongle. It will remove the password settings and make ur phone ready to use within a second.

this will be illegal to unlock it from the default network which it is supplied with a sales contract .
for this you should visit your nearesty electronic market or mobile reparing store and tell them to do this , they will do it by computer from cable . charges around 50.00/-

type the PUK no. which will be available on box of mobile
