I've used both. I rarely use tampons. And sometimes they do hurt. But I'll probably try to use tampons more now. To Anidya, how is that disgusting? What, do you think that something so normal like having your period is disgusting? If so, then I don't know why 'cause it's normal and it's suposed to happen. If you think using pads is disgusting, then I ask this: What do you think they used back in the old days? 'Cause they didn't have tampons or pads back then. It would have been alot difficult with that time of the month back then. So don't take for granted that we have tampons or pads around today. But unfortunaley now days we live in a world that is getting more superficial everyday and taking more things for granted as the technology improves. For some people that are so superficial, it's pathetic, I'd like them to go back in time when they didn't have nothing and see how much they complain about everything. They wouldn't last 2 minutes back in the day. I think this is a good poll question myself. And thanks to the person who asked it.

If a guy quite loves you i think of he shouldn't care. for my area, i do no longer blame some men for no longer liking females who positioned on pads, this is form of youth, except you have an allergic reaction to tampons or some thing.

There are a lot more options than only tampons and pads, I personally use a menstrual cup, specifically a mooncup - http://www.mooncup.co.uk

I have menorrhagia (heavy periods) so pads aren't enough for me, and I know how harmful tampons are to vaginal health so wouldn't use them even if they paid me to.
Menstrual cups can be worn before my period comes, when swimming, at night, and left in for up to 12 hours so they are really convenient, they aren't linked to any sort of health problem so totally safe, easy to use, don't contribute to cramping, body-positive, environmentally friendly, and one of the cheapest menstrual options available.

When i first started I used pads, then later switched to tampons.
why? well the not disgusting reason is that i hate blood.

and my husband likes to take the strings from tampons and use them and wick extenders for fireworks

... just don't ask.
