In our community, 14 is the age limit. All my friends went until then, except one. Something about free candy and dressing up.
Hey, statistics say that adults make more out of Halloween than the kids do! Some of my friends hop from party to party for free drinks, can't see much difference than from a kid going house to house for candy.
I have trick or treat every year, and I lived about 8 blocks from where I live now. Rule is here, that you can only Trick or Treat 5 blocks from home. Two years running, here is this adult male at the door, in a skin tight tiger costume, with a baby in his arms, trick or treating. I know the kid could not eat the candy, I think he was still enjoying his mother's bounty.. Next year the kid is older, but still not old enough for candy, and Dad is at the door.. Then I moved, 8 blocks, and guess who came to the door? Should have seen the look on that face, he recognized me,(hey, I give great treats) and yes, he still had the costume on. Last year, I guess the kid was 3, so Dad had to share the candy! I guess he should be proud of himself, he could still fit the costume, even with all his ill-gotten gains. Anyway, I guess it was his kid, but I wouldn't care to bet on it.
Congratulations on being able to pass for 12, I couldn't pass for 12 when I was 12, my mom always had to argue about my age everywhere that charged admission. LOL
Happy Halloween!

I think 13 is too old for someone to be collecting candy but dressing up and throwing a party, maybe 19.

I'm 13, and I still LUV to go Trick-or-treating with my two BFF's. My 25 year old cousin still LUV's to go trick-or-treating too. Not because she has to watch us. Just remember this, it's more fun trick-or-treat with your friends, and all the free candy too;-)

I don't see any age limit for that, but in my country trick and treating is not common.
