it really depeds. Are u guyes intending to get married? THe most important purchases must be the mortagages in cars and homes so make wise decisions in that. YOu could also save money by shopping wisely for insurance and other health care or coverage purchases. Remember to call and ask for quotes in everything. Save on the big thing not the little thing and it will take a lot of burden off despite where you stand financially now.

There is no way to put a dollar value on your or his wants and desires. You first have to decide what apartment, how big and where, or big wedding, small wedding, etc....you get the idea. Try starting with a priority list of what you both want and put a dollar value to each. It's setting goals for the future and put timelines for accomplishments. Make sure he is involved and agrees as this is your chosen partner. That way you can set a budget together and work on accomplishing your mutual goals. It's a great start to a more permanent future together. Good luck....

Money is never enough, the secret is- SET YOUR PRIORITIES RIGHT.
If you are planing on getting married, u have to cut down on some costs e.g buying a pair of sheos every month, taking a bus instead of a taxi, having cheap but nutricious nice food instead of the expensive type e.t.c As you cut down on unnecessary costs, u get to save that money, no matter how little. Also, save something from your salaries every month.

some decision are very personal,i mean there is no need of involving us with a issue like this one while you're claiming you have a bf.sit down with him and sought out what you have, what you lack and lay a lasting solution and move to the next stage before you bf get snatched by someone else.

Essentials for apartment - $5,000
Wedding costs - $20-$30,000

In a perfect world you need to be able to make enough to pay your bills and at least have 6 months of income saved up. All with no debt.

I reccomend around 2000.00 in the bank..... start putting about 20 out of each pay check , from each of yours..... or more if and when you can..... starting out with no back up money can make it hard on both of you and can cause big problems..... God bless

You need $300
Take that $300 and take a personal finance class at your local community college... that will teach you everything you need to know.
People spend so much money they barely realize where it all goes.

As long as you love and support each other- it doesn't really matter. I believe that money just destroy a relationship. Be happy, guys!
