Well losing the ODI series against the windies in the Caribbean has been a huge set back, and I think will affect their overall chances. India certainly have one of the better ODI sides, but there inability to perform consistantly in the Caribbean will be their downfall. I think it is very hard to predict so far out, but my choice for semi-finalists is AUS, SRL, SA, & PAK.

Yes. India can. But will India win ? Not sure. Indian team is capable & as good as other top teams. World cup is in WI so India has better chances as India is one of the few teams who visited WI before world cup. India also lost in WI so even better as Indian team knows exactly where to improve & not take it for granted that they can beat teams like WI. Every team, atleast top 6 or so are capable. Semifinal favorites are Australia, Pakistan, India & WI.

YES.
Dhoni and Irfan Pathan should be tried at number 3 and number 4 positions in batting. There should be rotation in batting order as per the demand on that day.If there is need Virender Sehwag can be brought down in batting order sometimes.Rahul Dravid should look into this aspect seriously.
Kumble should be in the team as we have seen recently on India's tour to west indies that spinners play a crucial role in ODIs.
May India win world cup 2007.

No i don't think so. They're many more teams better than India like Australia,England,West Indies[defeated India in ODIs by 4-1].
India lacks good batsmen. Tendulkar isn't playing good anymore. I think Ganguly should be back into the team.

yes india can win world cup but there are few things which are to be remembered
1) team has to be consistence
2)it should have combination of senior and new players
3)team should not consider any team as weak and not so strong also
4)the team should give its best performance against each team in each match
and rest is the destiny

it is going to be hardest to predict a world cup winner, west indies pitches are very slow tracks and with warne not playing ODI's aus chances of retaining crown fall, saying that i think greg is a very smart coach and he would have made the team learn abt the recent mistakes they made in the series against the indies. if they get their act together i think for india this world cup will be won by our spinners and they need to set aside the politics and get kumble, bhajji, powar and kartik firing.
