whats the best way to get rid of cockroaches?

my father moved in with us a few years ago and brought some of these nice little critters with him. sigh. we bought everything under the sun to get rid of them. we were on the verge of calling an exterminator when someone told us about combat roach killing gel. u can buy it for $8 a tube at wal-mart and it really does work. anyway good luck

Unfortunately there is no best way to get rid of cockroaches. If an atomic bomb goes off they will be the only thing to survive, so try using an atomic bomb. I would suggest squishing them, washing your dishes, clean every spot in your house or hiring an exterminator. Although these arent great answersbut they help because there is no real best answer. Im sorry.

I use Combat gel which works good. I also use my finger/thumb/foot(uggh) This works fine also. I also set up plastic bag "traps" ==wal-mart shopping bags,etc. Hang a plastic bag(no holes) up with "cockroach food" inside==turn the lights down and go relax for a while. Later==quickly go check the "trap" bag==grap the bag and twist it and tie a knot in it. Then place this bag into another plastic bag (no holes) and tie off==I do this 3 times . The roaches are doomed==no way out. Stay at this and it gets better in a short time. Good Luck.

buy 2 cans of fogger. set them off and leave for about 8 hrs. dont forget to open all interior doors including cabinet doors. repeat in 1 week. you will have no more roaches. buy this at wal mart or simular store

don't put them in the microwave. they might grow twice the size!!! try an atomic bomb! wait nevermind. ever see joes apartment. cockroaches arent that bad.

try shooting them ,( 12gage #5 shot ) if that dont work ,freezing them works but you have to wear more cloths! Seriously the only way to really be rid of them is to move and not take anything with you GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kill them (pest control if it is that bad), clean thoroughly (food scrap will attract them). if you live in a flat, check the type of business run in the building (restaurant / Grocery shop / Deli...) chances are they come from there!

Keep everything dry and clean, clear your rubbish before go to bed, do not use any insecticide..
