you should head to one of the cafes in Amsterdam they sell joints, if you smoke one of those suckers time will fly by.

The Udder Cow (get the pun? ha! ha! ha!), BUT, in spite of it's terrible name, it's this great little cafe in the mountains behind town where I live. The staff are friendly, the coffee is great, there are always plenty of books & the like to get into while there, and it has awesome views of the valley below.

I personally like Victory's Banner. http://www.victorysbanner.com/ It's in Chicago though, I have no idea where you're located. I think it's an awesome little cafe. The food is yummy (great pesto), the vibe is great.
