I believe that everyone is put on this earth for a reason and that guy, sure the hell made an impact on society by doing what he was obviously put here to do. Having such a passion for nature is always a wonderful thing. Im sure he is doing just fine in Heaven :) ...he'll be missed he's a legend!

Only shocked that it was a sting ray and not a croc or snake. He joked with life. He did a comercial about being bit by a posionous snake but he didn't use fedex so anti-venom didn't make it on time. I knew this guy would be killed from an animal eventually. Dealing with wild animals is like dealing with inmates in a prison. You never know when they will turn on you. Kinda funny that when he held a little kid/baby over a gator/croc a couple of years ago. You didn't hear to much about it. Happen about the same time Michael Jackson held his baby over the balcony. The guy was good with animals but apparently not that smart. If you risk your life like that on regular bases sooner or later you'll pay the price. Studying animals and being concerend with them is one thing but being an idiot with them is another. Not shocked at all. I'm apalled that this guy was a celebrity.

Of course it was worth it.
Steve loved what he did and did what he loved.
We all should have such a satisfying life as he has had, even including such a dramatic ending.
It is his family that bears the full weight of the tragedy, but - after the first rough year - his memory will undoubtedly console them.

Well let me open your mind. Steve "probaly" would more had prefered to die doing his job than his life being taken by a coward shooting him or a car accident. The King thinks he is happy and joyful, he's just transformed....
RIP Irwin,...........

Unfortunate.. a freak accident ??
No death is ever " worth it " .. but at least he died doing what he loved, and one of the things he did best.

That is one man that lived his life to the extent of his pleasures and the peek of his curiosity. You can't live life any better than that.
