Just wandering why people keep on bubbling democracy and freedom but they don't have the capability or the self-discipline to handle it. Don't you think a Republic should be abolish and changed to a Federal system perhaps. I mean, if people keep on suspecting that government officials are just looting the goverment, then, with Federalism or even an Empire-like government, only few people will share the loot and not thousands of government officials like senators. It's time for a change. People are so much tired of the so called republic. It's about time that one people will do all the thinking and all the planning to get the country moving. A person who will have all the powers without any resistance coming from some loud-mouthed lazy senators.

I actually understand where you're coming from. It's crazy but yet true. However, not in the US. Other parts of the world maybe but not here.
Depending on what factors a particular society put emphasis on, that's what their government should probably reflect. Not everybody understands or even wants democracy,
Islamic countries wouldn't understand the whole separation of church and state since religion is mostly at the base of their everyday life. The whole problem with Africa started after colonization, when after seeing how europeans deal with their governments, they tried to copy it, forgetting that people were mostly used to King warriors that took care of them and decided everything for them.
Change only occurs through time and the people, trying to force a whole different ideolgy usually ends up in catastrophe!

It's like ordering too much food at a restaurant. Looks good on the menu, but just too much to handle on your plate.

One small step toward efficiency, one fatal leap into fascism.

that is possibly the dumbest thing i have ever read.

Its extra dumb beacuse you seem kind of smart, sure the current system in the usa (i presume thats what your talking about) is flawed but do you seriously suggest a dictatorship would be better?

Do you know what life is like under a dictatorship?
