Let's see, in the book of Isaiah, a hand appeared from nowhere and wrote something on King Hezekiah's wall. All the priests couldn't read it. Someone sent for Isaiah who told the king the writing was from the Lord and it said, "Set your house in order, for you shall surely die."
Hezekiah was overwrought. Physicians tried to help him. Priests tried to help him. No one could. Finally, he turned his face to the wall and cried. He told God he had served him faithfully. He cried his eyes and his heart out and "reminded" God of his service. (Not that God forgets.)
God sent Isaiah back to the king and told him that 15 years were added to his life.
I believe this story was about communicating with God. Taking stock of how you have served God and turning your back on the world sometimes and just crying out to God. Although he was king, Hezekiah had to be reminded that God was in control. He had to approach God with the humbleness of a child.
Today, faith without works is dead, but works will not help you inherit eternal life. Only a belief in the savior Jesus Christ will do that for you. Have you accepted him as your personal savior?
Is that the handwriting on the wall you meant? Funny, even if it wasn't, maybe God is trying to tell you something and that is why you wrote the question. Or maybe it was for the edification of some other soul. Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to witness.

Yes I did...it was covered by a poster for Lage Rahi Munna Bhai and then further defaced by a gentleman.. !!What was it anyway?
