My dream car is a 1955 Ford Thunderbird sports coupe, with its two detachable tops. I first saw this magnificent automobile when I was 14; the first year the car was unveiled. I am now 65, and my admiration, devotion, and reverence for this classic has not diminished.
My first husband and I had an opportunity to buy one of these classics in 1959 for $900. Alas, we were poor college students who could barely pay the rent and feed ourselves.
Thirty some years later, I am now driving a Dodge Neon!
