Red blood cells actually containa nucleus while they are immature. During an exam of blood cells, if one sees a large number of nucleated RBC's, then that is an indication of a more serious problem.
But to answer, the question, DNA is found in the nucleus of the white blood cells, and the blood found at a crime scene will often contain remants of other tissues that will contain DNA.
Mitochondria are used as well in forensics.

The mature red blood cell (erythrocyte) does not have a nucleus, while its circulating precursors do (these are usually present in the blood at low levels). All of the lymphocytes have a nucleus and the corresponding genomic DNA.
