I am currently a Business Adminstration, Management emphasis major at Weber State University in Utah.
It is estimated that I will be graduating in Fall 2007. After that, I want to go into a MBA program.

I am thinking about

California State Univ -- San Bernardino
San Diego State Univ
San Francisco State Univ
Gonzala University ( in the state of WA)
Weber State Univ

My GPA is not the best, but I am confident enough about my GMAT. I'm extremely good at math.

I guess my concern is I was told Weber State Univ is probably the best out of my selection above, however, it is the least famous. I'm thinking if that's the case, my future employer may choose some other MBA graduate over me just because WSU is not well-known.

I tried to talk to my school's professors, and they all said WSU offered a great program and bla bla bla. I am seeking outside opinion to take into consideration.

Thanks!

I am a bit bias so based on the list you are considering...San Diego State. I received my undergrad degree from SDSU. Plus, I don't mean to be PC incorrect, but taking classes during the summer is just like being at the beach...with all the good looking men and women going to class.

However, I went to the University of Oklahoma for my MBA. Plus at the time, OU was one of the 5 major universities that didn't require the GMAT. I was stationed in the military south of OU so that was the major reason I went to MBA school there and not the lack of the GMAT. Plus the GI Bill paid for my MBA and later my MPA back in San Diego.

My second vote would be for Weber since the cost of in state tuition has got to be a major consideration...unless you have tons of $$$.

Cal State SB is good but the smog sucks. I lived in the Riverside / SB area for 5 years.
SF State Univ is good but the cost of.living there is unbelievable.
Sorry, I don't know anything about Gonzala ecxept I have heard their under grad programs are pretty good.

Which ever one you select...good luck. And about you GPA concern...some of the Universities allow you to go through 1 semester on probation but you have to reach a specific GPA to remain. My SDSU GPA was only 3.2 (spent a lot of time at the beach) and just made the OU cut off of a 3.2 GPA. I ended up with a final GPA of 3.71...just had a nack for math I guess.

Again, good luck.

do not. the cost of an MBA is massively much less in case you have not got any journey. bypass and artwork for a pharma corporation for some years first and then do an MBA, it is going to furnish help to plenty (the two in terms of having onto a stable MBA software yet in addition getting a job afterwards.). Having an MBA without having any artwork journey could make it _harder_ to get a job afterwards.

First I would make sure that every school on your list fits your criteria for an MBA program (classes, size, recruitment options, professors, etc.), then I would chose the one that is the best known program where you are accepted. Good luck!

Btw, have you considered working for a few years before MBA? It might make your MBA experience more meaningful.

Check to see how many employers show up for the college career fairs there. It should be on their website, or you can check with the career services department. That would determine my #1 criteria of where I would go to school.
