Hot, Hot, Hot,, tea w/ honey and lemon,, or Coffee. The keep coughing, get it all out. Go to medical, tell the Doc. Do not mess around, you might of caught something other than a cold.My brother in-law was in Afgan, for over 1 1/2 yrs and the winter was very cold in the mountains. I hope you get better, and Thank you!! For all you are doing!!! God Bless and Best Wishes....

Think about vapor treatment. Use a towel, breath warm water vapor and keep yourself away from sudden weather change(like room AC and going out in sun at 1 PM suddenly). If nothing helps, visit a local doctor and get some cough syrup.

Try an albuterol inhaler. they are around everywhere... even in the desert for those that are asthmatics
if that gives no relief it isn't bronchospasms.. or reactive airway disease

try antihistimines
antibiotics
OMT aka back thumps to clear the lungs
See a doc for a chest xray
stop smoking.

if you can get some honey, it helps coat the throat like cough syrup... warm tea helps... I don't know if you can get anything like that, but if you can, it will help.

also, here are some natural remedies... I don't know if you can get any of the things they list, but it is worth a look:
