pound for pound, there probably much the same, but the tiger is bigger, therefore more likely stronger.

I've seen old documentary footage by Frank Buck's, of a panther coming of second best against a python, and being consumed by it. And the same producer had footage of a tiger and python in a confrontation, that ended in a draw.

Neither. They are both built perfectly for their unique environment. Put a tiger in a panther's environment...NOT! wouldn't survive. Put a panther in a tiger's environment...NOT!, wouldn't survive. Panther needs the streamlined stealth, tiger needs raw brute strength. That's like comparing apples to oranges. I mean, their prey is totally different, their environment is totally different. .

Uh, I think both are equally strong, just in different areas. The tiger is really good at pouncing, which gets him some good food. The panther can sneak up on its prey and can almost always get good grub. But hey, who wants to know?
