Why don't you just close the lid of the toilet when you flush?

Unless you're peeing outside by a wet tree, I would say that you are either dribbling or the toilet is splashing. Close the lid or get an umbrella. Hey, and don't be afraid to shake that thing....Grab it with both hands (oh, sorry, one hand for you), and shake the little mutha until it is dry and that last drop is gone.

Not more than two shakes in a men's room, lest you attract an interested friend. That's just good advice.

Depends on when you get the splash. If you are still peeing when you flush, it's pee. If you get the splash as the toilet is filling up, it's the water.

Are you sure that you want to be convinced? Because I can convince you otherwise. I think that in some small portion (1 in 1000) it may be pee. But that water is the one that comes down from your water container when you flush. So unless it gets mixed up, there's no worries. (You won't stink of pee)

It is water with traces of urine in it. Check out the Mythbusters site, they did a show about toilets flushing.

To avoid the spray, just put the lid down before you flush.

no i can't...it's probably diluted pee water.
ur concern is valid. the toilet aerosolizes the toilet water...spreading bacteria to everything near it...possibly the entire room it's in. there's been studies, showing growth of fecal bacteria found on toothbrushes exposed to a nearby toilet.
i think this is one reason why it's popular in the new houses to have the toilet separate from the rest of the bathroom.

Any clinical discussion is definitely not gross. As for the question, would not the answer depend on the pee-er's aim?

It's either the pee water or you did not wipe (female) or shake (male) good enough and yep, that's pretty gross...

You could know for sure by shining a black light on your feet. Urine glows bright yellow under black light.

It probably is urine. BFD, just clean your hands before shaking my hand, o.k.?
