Why should I have to change my Australian spelling to suit?
examples....
Practice = Practise
Colour = Color

It's not just you. I go to the *Canadian* version of Y!A.....and yet the spell checker is still American: i.e. *flawed*.

Any why on earth it chokes on the word "dreamed" i'll *never* know.....

Yet another Yahoo inconsistency.

Because the Idiots in the USA believe they have the Only English spelling and Language

Like i tell people Fluent in English but have trouble with American

Listen to the Lead in the Closer and the Young man Lucas Black in NCIS New Orleans he speaks a totally

Foreign language 2 ,Good shows Ruined By a stupid Language and No Sub titles

Be glad to have spell check. My yahoo answers is running on a corrupted script! I don't have it anymore at all. If you are writing on the American version that would explain it. There are other versions at the bottom of the home page.
If not, then be glad because Americans who can spell (and I see fewer and fewer of us on here these days) will slam you for what we believe are misspellings if we don't like your questions. LOL!

Don't change. Spell check gives some pretty strange changes for Am. English.

Because Yahoo is an American company, therefore, it would make sense to have American spellings. It is annoying, but you just have to put up with it.

Cause your using the English version. If you use the Australian version you should NOT have that problem.
