Yes he did put his child in danger and he put himself in danger and his wife as well.

He poked snakes with sticks and said stupid things like "oh look at him he is a little aggravated ain't he" and then jumping on crocks and all the stuff he did all for TV ratings and money. He did a lot of good I hear but no proof of it. All I ever seen or knew of was him teasing the animals. I really think from hearing him on talk shows that he thought he was above being killed and was very cocky about it. I did like to watch his shows but knew a crock would get him sooner or later. But I do have to admit I never thought he would step out of his trained area and get in a pool of water with a stingray.

He was a good man just not all that smart. It is amazing what a man will do for money and fame.

I will get a lot of nasty emails over my statement like the other ones and so will you. However, you are right and people don't see what he was really doing only that he did it with style. I still don't see how holding a kid out over a croc was kewl but people seem to love that too. It don't matter if he just fed the beast or not. That was no place for a kid.

Kinda like none of his followers knew there is such as a dart that shoots out of a gun that will put the croc to sleep and there is no need to tease the animal and there would be no danger either.. Oh but no show either or ratings or money in it.

There is an old saying, "Speak naught but good of the dead". So please, be respectful of his recent passing.

The reason that people are so sensitive about the matter is that he was, perhaps, the most enthusiastic naturalist alive. He was a man who truely loved what he did, and loved the animals he worked with. As such, people gained a fair amount of respect for him in life. Hence why his death affects people so adversely.

And as for the "putting his child in danger", I presume that you refer to him feeding the croc. Admittedly, this is not something that most people would consider to be smart. However, all indications are that Steve Irwin was a loving father, so the action, while not completely dismissable, is mitigated. Surely, it does not qualify as a reason to hate the man. You do not judge a man by a single isolated action, but by his life as a whole.

Why are u so insensitive about his death? U clearly didn't watch "Confessions of a Crocodile Hunter". Steve Irwin, his family (Terri Irwin and Steve's dad, Bob Irwin), his friends and even his zoo staffs spoke about the "Incident". Safety precautions were taken and he is not a f*$#!@ like Michael Jackson. He holds his child outside the window and people still loves him.WTF! That is clearly a million times worse. This is another thing for u to think about. Wat have u contributed to the world?

If anyone were to hold me near a croc, I'd have wanted it to be Irwin. Probably the safest way to ever be next to one. Kids are in way more danger left in the tub while one answers the phone.

I think people are bummed about his death because he seemed so invincible. Though really, it's the way it should have been. For all the times he has been in dangerous situations with animals, it would have been wrong for him to pass on any other way.

He didn't put his child in danger! He had already fed the croc and he had been around that one croc for years. He knew every move that thing was about to make. He was one of the best fathers out there! He wouldn't have done anything that would hurt his child. You forget that he grew up doing that stuff. You have to teach children about things. Steve's kid is going to grow up around those reptiles and animals...he had to start teaching his kids about those things so they WOULDN'T get hurt.

A heater is hot. You don't want your child to get burned. What do you do? Keep your child away from the heat? NO, you take the small child over to the heater close enough for them to feel the heat. They soon realize they shouldn't get too close or it gets to hot...same principals.....

at last, it is going to likely be launched. i do belive, besides the undeniable fact that this is dying, Irwin created plenty for the conventional public to alter into in love along with his kin and morals. Now each thing has a commencing up, and an end. Unfortunatly this has a tragic ending, that no person interior the conventional public would understand approximately for an extremely long term. i think of the least his kin can do for the conventional public , is to launch it, so that it is going to all GREIVE collectively. i understand that no longer ONE individual could snort or criticize it.

The footage that was shown by the " unbias media" has been proven that the child was NEVER in any danger.
There were several people around Steve Irwin when he was feeding the croc.

His child was never in danger. Even if he was, for all of the good that Steve did you should show some respect.

When you die should you have no mourners because of your screw ups in life? He was a good man and a great father. Shame on you.

Personally, I think it's sad BECAUSE he's a father. His child now has to grow up without her father around. All the hype is media garbage, and we wouldn't even be aware of his death if he weren't a celebrity. But I feel it's not a good thing for a child to grow up without a father. I'm sorry for the family.

If I had kids, I would have trusted Steve Irwin to take care of them any day of the week!

And I sure as hell wouldn't let Michael Jackson anywhere near them. 5th floor baby dangling ring a bell?
