Ok, so for years I hear "Natalie Portman is gorgeous, etc. etc." I have never really understood it. Even before her rhinoplasty http://www.awfulplasticsurgery.com/archives/006247.html I did not understand it. Yes, she's pretty. But I have seen prettier girls in real life walking on the street. I don't want to sound nitpicky, but I think her body is a little bit too stumpy for her head. I'm not denying she's pretty, but I have seen many, many prettier girls in real life.
And yes, she's smart. But most of the students I go to school with are probably more intelligent.
I don't think she can act, so what is the big deal with her? Why are some people so in love with her? (Or are they just the Star Wars fanatics? Btw...she was probably at her worst in Star Wars.)
Additionally, her supposed "look-a-like" is far more gorgeous in my opinion: Keira Knightley.

I go to school at Yale University....and trust me, most of my fellow peers did not use fame and money to get into college. And they definitely scored higher than 1400 on the SAT (which is supposedly around what she got).

I don't think she's overrated. She's not even one of the celebrities that's always getting talked about. She's pretty and can act, it's as simple as that. There are lots of celebrities who are way more overrated than she is, for example J-Lo, Mariah Carey, Sarah Jessica Parker. And then there's Rene Zellwieger (I know it's probably spelled wrong), she can't act for crap and she's not very attractive at all. I think she's WAY overrated!

I think she's beautiful(I love her beauty marks),she has like a slightly androgynous look to her which is very sexy.And her personality is nice too,very bubbly and down to earth.I like her acting and choice of roles(except for "v for vendetta",that was awful!).She's not all bony and anorexic(like most female celebs her age) either.Keira's alright,but doesn't hold a candle to Natalie I think................Oh,... and I think her name is beautiful too;)

I actually think she's underrated.
people don't talk about her as much as the other little starlets in the media. ANd she's twice as gorgeous, talented and smart as they are.

I cannot stand Nathalie Portman. Yes she is extremely overrated. I thought she was creepy in Star Wars, maybe thats just me. I suppose I am a little frustrated because she dated Gael Gracia Bernal and I love him to death. ugh, I just can't stand her and I refuse to watch her films!

Personally I love her and I think she's a really great actress. I know a lot of other people who think she's great. Personal preference I guess.
