VoIP is Voice over Internet Protocol.
It helps you to talk over the internet.
Long-distance calls cost money - a lot of money.
But with VoIP, the only requirement is both u and the other person are online.
No extra charge - only the cost of your time online.

Voip now a days is basically ... well.. internet phone.
Both parties don't have to have a voip carrier.
