"Sit Ubu, sit!" - Reference to a Black Labrador retriever formerly owned by Gary David Goldberg, the producer of UBU Productions, Inc. founded in 1981. At the end of each of Goldberg's television programs (FAMILY TIES/NBC/1982-89 among others) a photograph of Ubu is flashed on the screen accompanied by the spoken phrase "Sit Ubu, Sit!" and the comment "Good Dog!" followed by a quick, single dog bark. Ubu Roi (who died in 1984), had played Frisbee with Goldberg during his college days.

I once had an elderly lady for a friend. She had a wonderful little dog. A mix of some sort. She had the dog trained well and it behaved very well. Learn here https://tr.im/ZN0Vs
She kept an uncovered candy dish on her coffee table with candy in it. The dog was forbidden to eat the candy. When she was in the room observing the dog he did not even appear to notice the candy. One day while she was in her dinning room she happened to look in a mirror and could see her dog in the living room. He did not know he was being watched. For several minutes he was sitting in front of the candy bowl staring at the candy. Finally he reached in and took one. He placed it on the table and stared at it, he woofed at it. He stared some more, licked his chops and PUT IT BACK in the bowl and walked away. Did he want the candy, oh yeah. Did he eat it? Nope. They can be trained that well but most, I'll admit, are not trained that well. When I was a young boy, maybe 5 years old. We had a german shepherd. He was very well trained also. My mom could leave food unattended on the table, no problem. She would open the oven door and set a pan roast beef or roast chicken on the door to cool. No problem. He would not touch it, watched or not. But butter? Whole other story. You leave a stick of butter anywhere he could reach and it was gone. He was a large shepherd so there were not many places he could not reach. Really, I think the number of dogs trained to the point they will leave food alone when not being supervised is very small indeed.
.
Now if we are talking obedience training, not food grubbing, that is a different story. Way back when I was first learning obedience training one of the final exercises was to put our dogs in a down/stay and not only leave the room but leave the building for 15 minutes. The only person that stayed was our trainer, not the owners. Most of the dogs in my class did not break their stay, which would be an automatic fail. I'm happy to report my dog was one of the ones that passed.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU0gT
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Well said. It's only since the New Media -- especially the Internet -- that I've learned what the democrat party's agenda is. Merriam-Webster defines “socialism”: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods. The National Socialist Party, the Nazi Party, established ownership and administrative status using brute force: any business owners who refused to produce what the Party demanded was summarily executed or sent to concentration camps. The Democrat Party establishes constructive ownership and administrative status using the limitless power of government to tax, regulate and seize. In the past three years The Party seized ownership of GM, Chrysler, our health care system and large sectors of the financial sector. But the Party understands that ownership isn’t really required to administer the economy, as Obama explains: -11/3/08 LA Times: “So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted." The Nazi Party was in a hurry to grow the Third Reich. The Democrat Party is not in a hurry. It has been growing a socialist America for a very, very long time: 1/11/44. Democrat FDR’s Address to Congress: “We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed." His list included: -The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation -The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation -The right of every family to a decent home -The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health -The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment Decades before The Party came out of the closet with FDR’s socialist agenda another Democrat president, Woodrow Wilson, tried to hide his lust for socialism, stating: “You are not here merely to make a living. You are here to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, and with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world. You impoverish yourself if you forget this errand.” Wilson may have been the first socialist to recognize multiculturalism as an instrument to accelerate America’s decline, saying: “No nation is fit to sit in judgment upon any other nation.” And the socialist democrats can trumpet their successes: -2/4/10 Gallup poll: 61% of liberals have a positive view of socialism versus 17% among Republicans. -6/2/11 Gallup poll: 71% of democrats favor re-distributing wealth. -National health care, a hallmark of all socialist regimes, has been achieved: it’s called Obamacare. -They got their national health care, the hallmark of all socialist nations. Know thine enemy.
