Should it be released to the public?
Is it really necessary that we actually observe the moment of his death?
Isn't it enough to simply be aware of this tragedy without having to view it?
(I'm sure other's have posted similar questions, but..this one is mine.)

Just mature, honest responses please.
What do you think?

Believe it or not, according to some reports...it may have been Steve's wish to release any video that might show his death by animal attack.
"A report from Contact Music UK claims Irwin's family are determined to respect his last wishes and allow the harrowing footage to be broadcast."
Per Steve: "My number one rule is to keep that camera rolling. Even if it's shaky or slightly out of focus, I don't give a rip. Even if a big old alligator is chewing me up I want to go down and go, 'Crikey!' just before I die. That would be the ultimate for me."

Personally I don't think it should be released, maybe only to a researcher on a very restricted basis, but definitely not to the general public. We know the details so we can pretty much imagine what it looked like, not very pretty I'm sure.
When the gruesome video of Nick Bergs decapitation was plastered all over the internet, his family suffered big time.I would hate to see another family go through that.It really is no ones business to see something so painful to the family members.
Just the opinion of an old lady who has seen death up close and personal more times than I can count.I have no desire to see the tape.We all need to have a little compassion.

In my opinion, I dun noe... I have the fullest respect for Steve Irwin for doing what he does best. A part of me wants to watch the horrific footage of his last moments but the other just feels it isn't right. Whatever Terri decides, I will respect the decision made and I hope everything goes well for her and her children in the future. Rest in peace Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter...

Of course it shouldn't be released. We have rights, yes, but that doesn't include the right to see the video of a mans death. It is completely up to his family wether or not they release the tape, and I can't see that happening. And, a side note, what would make you want to see it? You would need to take a look at yourself and see that maybe you are a bit desensitized to real pain and suffering if something like this doesn't horrify you. Seen one to many people blown up or hit by a car in movies, I think.

Just shut up with the Steve Irwin stuff. Enough! You are obsessed! And the links you posted are from those worthless independent news sites that distort everything. Put a lid on this already and get on with life. Geesh!

I personally am sick and tired of people asking about the video. What exactly will it do for them? Will it put their mind at ease? He left doing what he loved to do, lets just leave it at that. I'm sure most of us our devastated enough over his loss, I think I am in shock, so imagine his wife. I heard that the video is to be destroyed anyways.

There's no reason to see the video, but there's no reason to downlod a video of a man being decapitated either and many people seem to enjoy viewing such things.

What good would it do to even have the tape around? If his crew cared anything about him they would destroy the tape. Like that movie Grizzly Man where he tells the woman to destroy the tape because it would be the "white elephant" haunting her in her closet.
