there are a good number of good allround wicketkeepers in most teams these days. the reason being the large number of ODI's demands good allround skills specially as sides try & maintain balance. that explains why a number of them have emerged as good batsmen such as Dhoni & Gilchrist.
However with Kumar Sangakkara the situation is different. he plays the all important role of a regular no. 3 batsman while performing his keeping duties (until very recently in Test matches too). his contribution thereby in terms of team performance has been great. a no. 3 batsmen needs to attack at times & put his head down when needed. most often it's the best batsmen in the team who plays this role. Brian Lara, Sachin (for a long time), Ricky Ponting etc. occupy this postion.
Mark Boucher is a very reliable keeper too. his fighting qualties playing lower down the order demonstrate his resolve & he has always been tidy behind the stumps.

Adam Gilchrist.
Because he is a good batsman and masterblaster too.
He opens the innings in ODIs and change the results in test matches at a number six or seven position.he is consistant.
He always faced a fast bowling and heavy turn of Shane Warne and done his keeping job well.
He never indulged in any type of controversy.(sledging).
He is an ideal wicketkeeper.

Come on....
Clearly Adam Gilchrist.
5124 runs at 48.80 at a s/r of 81.59, plus 320 catches and 35 stumpings, in 85 test matches.
And an even more impressive 8233 runs at 36.42, at an astonishing s/r of 96.76, plus 348 catches and 45 stumpings in 242 ODI matches....
NO COMPARISSION.

Adam Gilchrist by a mile, however he can't bowl like one of his predecessors another Western Australian wicketkeeper. If Gillie could trundle a few down during a dead rubber that would make him the greatest ever!!
