Let his family grieve, it must be so hard on them, especially with him being so famous and everywhere they turn they're seeing the headlines and front pages.
Everybody knows that eventually the video will be out there for the world to see, have some patience, learn to respect other people's feelings, and get a life!!

If there is footage of Steve being killed by the stingray, it should be destroyed. We don't need to see it. There's enough depressing crap on TV as it is.

The reality of being a "reality star". I agree, I don't want to "See" the man die. His life needs to be a soundbite of a good thing, not him struggling the last minutes of his life.

Public media and information is often misused. That is wrong in my viewpoint, yet so is watching old news reels of the Jews in camps or nightly news of dead people mangled in the streets of Baghdad.

We do not get a sense of the horrible emotional burden, we just get a gory reminder that life is too short to waste. Are we learning anything? Or are we just selling ad space on TV? What can we do to better ourselves from what we have learned? If you don't ask yourself that, then you have wasted your time.

People don't mean to be disrespectful. Just that Steve was such a larger than life person who did such fantastic work. It's a real shock to us when a person of his magnitude is suddenly taken. The untimeliness of Steve's passing is so devastating as to remind us of our own fragile mortality. He was a risk taker who died doing what he loved. I don't think he would have had it any other way. Here's to you Steve! An inspiration to us all.

No, people don't have enough respect. Yes someone will always be the sick puppy and ask for the footage to be shown. I totaly agree with you, people do need to get a life as well as a little respect.

You are so right people are being ignorant not respecting him or his family . What happened to him is so sad and people have to have some morals and not ask such stupid things. He has a small child and wife who's grieving over him.

Yeah, well, the people, like his manager, who are getting asked are the ones who have chosen to go on television and talk about it in the first place.

Were Steve alive, i doubt he'd have any objection to it being shown... his honeymoon and his kid's births have both been part of TV episodes, and there's nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm a little concerned that the footage has been leaked. Its kind of a sign of the times as far as filming 'everything' ... I agree. Let it rest.

I think it tacky indeed that anyone would want to invade the privacy of his poor family. If I were King NOBODY would see it at all!
