West Virginia. They play in by far the weakest major conference, Louisville is the only Top 25 team on their schedule, and they have no formidable non conference opponents on their schedule.
Even if they wind up 12-0 they might not wind up #1 or #2 in the final BCS poll because of their soft schedule.

Every team in the top ten right now is overrated some more than others. One week into the season and we have what maybe 4 teams that played a team with a winning record last year. OSU, ND, LSU and UT played teams with winning records last year. Of those only 2 played teams from a major conference ND and the Vols, ND played and beat GT who went 7-5 last year and had victories over Miami, and Auburn on the road, the Vols played Cal who resides in the Pac-10. OSU opened against NIU who went 7-5 last year in the MAC not a stellar conference but its middle of the pack at best at least they had a winning record, and LSU played UL-Lafayette who went 6-5 in a bottom rung conference. I mean beyond that no team in the top ten played a team with a winning record, Texas played North Texas and stomped them North Texas went 2-9 last year yeah great victory, when Texas gets beat this weekend at home we will see how bad they get beaten and if they still deserve to be in the top ten. I mean the other teams really arent even worth saying anything about USC beat Arkansas 4-7 last year with 2 wins coming in the SEC, Michigan beat Vandy without Cutler they are nothing they were mediocre with him 5-6 last year. Overrated teams maybe everyone in the top ten is overrated we really wont know until after week 3 honestly.

For anyone foolish enough to say the ND is overrated...the mark of a great football team is not one that comes out every game and completely dominates their opponents. The mark of a good football team is one that can dominate their opponent, but can also grind out a defensive win, which is exactly what ND did. Geogia Tech was basically doing anything they wanted on offense in the first half, but what did they do in the second half? They didn't score any more points, and they didn't really rack up that many more yards. No, I would say that ND is definately worthy of a top 5 spot in the polls, and I agree with the second and third answers in terms of who's overrated.

Oregon.
They beat on a Stanford team that would of got creamed by Sara & Mary State. Now their fans are talkin about USC and OU in two weeks, plus all kinds of nonsense about their back being on the Heisman Watch list. They are gonna get upset this weekend in Fresno. Oregon was better last year, yet duck fans have the gall to call this their best team ever. It was bloody Stanford in Oregon. Not a academic decathlon, Stanford football.
Aside from Texas, the Big 12 is the most overated conference. Their best are good but would not win the Big East, excluding Texas of course.
If there are not two undefeated teams then the national championship will be a rematch of the Buckeyes and Longhorns.
Overrated = ND of course. They get bounus points on all of the voters polls. Beacuse they are what they are. USC would be oon this list to if they wern't WORTHY of it. ND loses at least three games this season starting with Penn State. They to would struggle to win the Big East.

west virginia and notre dame.
they are both good teams but niether one deserves to be in the top ten.one good thing is that notre dame has a tough schedule so they will lose a few games and drop to where they should be ranked. the bad thing is west virginia has a very easy schedule so they probably
wont get beat and theyll stay ranked high. they only have to play one good team all year(louiville) and now that michael bush broke his leg in week 1, they wont even be that good anymore.

Notre Dame. I thought they were over rated to begin with, but after that first game they had, im REALLY sure of it now. Auburn isnt as good as everyone seems to think either. And Cal, tho everyone seems to realize it after that mess of a first game they had.
