I was in a meeting today and a black woman was presiding over the meeting. There were 2 other African American women in the room complaining that the speaker was rude. One of the women asked why the speaker was such a ***** and the other African American lady said "it's because she's black." What in the hell did that mean? Why is that ok? If I would have said that I would have been jumped all over. PLEASE explain this extraordianary mystery to me.

I had no intentions of saying it myself, by the way. I just overheard the conversation.

Black people use the N word and other cuss words in the presence of White folks as a way to assert their power and display their feelings about themselves. We as whipped politically correct dumb asses allow this to happen because we are harassed about slavery from the day we pop out of the womb. Do this. Next time you hear a black person call another black person the N word in an environment where others heard it, just say AMEN. You will have asserted your opinion and no one can touch you without first addressing the gaff made by the African...........

thats just the way they are they can say all kinds of things about each other but if you do your a dead man/woman.i have many black friends but would never call them the N word although they all call each other that.so dont let it bother you just be kind and polite why make rude comments to people it gets us no where and we can stay at a higher standard then people who say bad things about others no matter what race or color it happens in all cultures i just try to like everyone equally.

I think it means that Black women are bitches, by nature. (which is not true). It's not okay for anyone to make such a statement, no matter what race, even if it is your own :(

I can say whatever I want about my parents. They drive me nuts, they are unfair, etc etc etc. But if any other person says anything bad about them I would beat them to a pulp, even if they were right!!!!
I call it daughterly privilege. Guess it's the same sort of thing here.

I say if it's ok for a black person call each other the N word... I would assume that it would be ok for everybody else of different color skin to call 'em the "N" word.

Sometimes its ok if they say it, but not you...
i.e. a friend of mine was like: "I am so stupid, I forgot to feed the cat this morning".... so she is admitting to herself that she is stupid. A few hours later, she told her husband about it and he was like that is stupid! She got so upset, though she said it in the morning!

in many situations, it is acceptable to insult a member of your OWN group, but not acceptable for someone OUTSIDE the group to say the same thing.
Not unlike insulting your brother or sister, but attacking someone outside the family who made the same comment.

My daughter said it best... "Why do people say 'that white girl' or 'that black boy'.. why can't they just leave the color out of it?"
We're all humans regardless of our skin tone.
