Anyone have some good resources to fix it ? Taking it to a shop would probably be more cost, than what the player is worth.

I think CD players are now cheaper than CDs.... probably cost just 20-40 bucks?

try puting a nother cd on top to make the player think the cd is heaver than what it is .

Don't bother repairing. Just buy a new one, or get yourself an mp3 player instead.
