I miss him too. He was the bravest person ever. I love his shows. And he seemed like just a wonderful person. RIP Steve.

He was a remarkable man. A great Entertainer and really opened the mind of masses regarding animal education and environmental management.
I believe Australia is having a "state" funeral for him, and he will be honored as a national hero. Well done!
As a Wife- now a widow, it will be difficult at best to move forward since he was such a "strong" life force. I don't fore see her healing quickly. You can't replace a love like that.
Bindi was super lucky daughter to spend so much time with dad. Grateful that she was not there that day of filming. The "reef" project was dedicated to her and will be aired in the Spring as scheduled.
The saddest part is as a "MOM". I feel most sad that his son Bob will only have "dad-hero" complex since he won't know him at all, only by pictures and stories.
His best friend watched the tape when he was killed and said, he saw him die and knew when it happened that "in his eye". He knew it too. He died doing what he loved and it was very freak accident.
I have swam with Stingrays in Grand Cayman and they are beautiful and scary at the same time. We often forget that "wild" means just that. Bless him and his loved ones. He left his mark on this planet. That's all a man can hope for in life. Right?

i feel exactly that way u feel. according to various reports, *if u already have heard this, im sorry to hafta repeat it again* he was killed by a stingray that bolted him in the heart *yikes*. i feel that even though the whole crew did do this, they should've taken better precautions in keeping steve safe from this attack and from the stingray. my father swam with some stingrays while he and my mother were on vacation and etc, and when my dad saw this, he never thought that stingrays could hurt people in that manner. -ann
