He has been quick to blame others and not admitted guilt on his part. He was nopt solely to blame - but he sure didn't act as a leader and a doer when he should have. Many people coukd have avoided death and misery if he did what he was supposed to do.

As far as I can tell, more of the responsibility for local disaster recovery efforts currently falls on the shoulders of local leaders than on the federal government. While it is true that the federal government could have acted more quickly and effieciently to help (including President Bush), a mayor of every town (along with each's council ) should be prepared with emergency plans for possible disasters. Let us hope that local leaders learn the lesson that Katrina taught us - be well prepared with some plan ahead of time. Just my take.

lets not forget the governor of louisiana as well, she refused first offers of help from Nat'l Guard and Fema
neither she nor mayor were competent to handle a disaster of that magnitude (and i believe he left the state and went to florida
with friends instead of staying near by in case he was needed)
i'm tired of Bush getting the blame

True but most want to blame President Bush and all the Republicans because of their hatred of Mr. Bush.

NO it isnt him or Bush, Its the frigginidiots that built a city below sea level. If you are stupid enough to live in an area like that then you deserve what you get, no different than living on the san andreas fault.

I agree - he should begin to find blame in his mirror and not look for scapegoats
