Yeah, but don't you just love Chris Noth. I do, from the orignal law and order, and also from Sex and the City.

They aren't off the show, they're doing the same thing as last season, switching between the two sets of partners. D'Onofrio & Erbe are still there. Noth is still on, but they got rid of his old partner and now Julianne Nicholson is on the show as his new partner. You may remember her last season as Christina on the L&O spin-off, Conviction.
Also, from NBC's official L&O : CI website - "Detective Mike Logan (Chris Noth) and his new partner, Detective Wheeler (Nicholson), make up the Major Case Squad alongside long-time partners Detectives Robert Goren (Vincent D’Onofrio) and Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe). The two Major Case Squad detective teams will split the caseloads week to week."

I figured they might be heading that way, bringing Chris Noth into the show. It's disappointing though. D'Onofrio really makes that show work, as much as I like Noth, and Erbe has always done a great job too (I thought I was going to die when that other redhead replaced her while she was having her baby).

They were a good pair on the show. That's why I don't watch L&O: CI anymore. Not too crazy about Chris North and Annabella (what's her name?).
Haven't a clue about them. I did remember Eve being pregnant on the show and was replaced by a new red-head while she was on MAT leave. Maybe in real life she was pregnant and wants to stop doing the show.
Then that partnership faded without a trace or explanation. As for Vince I thought I read he had a drug problem and was in a drug rehab program.
All in all I have stopped watching all the L&Os (due to all the replacements) except for the regularly L&O with Greene and Fontana. But it's still not the same without Lenny.
Good-bye L&O!

I think it's health problems, with D'Onofrio. He passed out one day in the set.
EDIT: Hey, you made me look, because I like the L&O shows. Now, let me WARN you that if you don't want to get the first episode of the new season spoiled for you, you should not follow this link, because there is a general description of what it is about, but let me tell you that according to it, they are both going to be there. Other people however are no longer in the show.
Anyway, you're all warned. If you click below it is under your own responsibility:

I heard that he will be switched up with Chris Noth, but I didn't hear anything about Erbe. I do know that they are changing Criminal Intent and the original Law and Order in a way that I do not like. I probably won't be watching it anymore.

It's not nice to start rumors. D'Onofrio makes the show. I like Chris Noth, but not enough to look the show up in the TV Guide.

the only ones leaving are Carver, Barek and Deakins. VDO and KE will alternate with CN and his new partner.
