The answer was, its a do it yourselfer.
I can't believe nobody on here could get the hint.
I know God talks in mysterious ways, but the question was: Does anyone think they understand why God doesn't talk?

Has to do with the fact that he DOESN'T EXIST.

I think it was Socrates' school you had to be silent for three years before they would let you be a student. I think this kind of thing is greatly lacking in our society. Try a temporary silence vow, use earplugs if it helps. The way the human mind works I think is that as long as your hearing is still functional, you'll begin to intuit (or imagine) SOMETHING and at the very least it could be good material for fiction. But I do think silence is a good method for learning to become closer to God. Maybe that's why it isnt encouraged . ..God plus capitalism dont mix

Who said GOD doesn't talk? He speaks eloquently...Sometimes through unspoken language...such as the awesome beauty of nature, or the perfectly gorgeous days that speak to your soul and make you feel all happy inside, or the rainbow that forms when the rain and the sun play together.
And sometimes in real words...start listening you will hear... just keep your mind open to listening to everyone that talks to you because GOD has a whole world of people to talk to you through!

God talks, but only to people who are fantasy-prone, and/or prone to hearing voices in their head.

God is an egomaniac who hates skeptics, atheists, and others who regularly use reason & logic. That's why he never talks to them. He just can't STAND it when people think he doesn't exist!

Basically, if god doesn't talk to you, it's because he's giving you the cold shoulder. Try giving yourself some brain damage, or taking certain hallucinogenic drugs, and he may just warm up to you.

Is it that God doesn't talk?, or We don't know how to listen?
Does he speak directly to us? Do we need an interpreter?
Are we listening for thunder when he speaks in whispers?
What is your concept of God, and does it match anyone else's concept? Has your concept of God changed with time?
All difficult questions, but the only answer that you will be satisfied with is the one you come up with yourself.

Wow! What a concept. I wear hearing aids and I hear God talk all the time. It has to do with the frequency one is tuned in on.

God doesn't talk for the same reason as why Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy don't talk..............because their mouths are full of delicious Wendy's hamburgers!!

Actually,HE used to walk the Earth and Adam and Eve could see HIM. But I guess HE got disgusted with the whole bunch and just decided to just watch and see what happens next.

god do talk to us. he always guides us.haven't you ever heard your conscience warn you when you do something wrong? it is god. he is always there to guide us. the fault is within us that we shut ourselves to his guidance and many a times even to his blessings. just try to pay a little more attention to your heart and soon you will realise that god is forever with you.
