I thought I heard it on the news and then when I came in from the kitchen they had already gone to something else. He died still fighting the "Creatures" ........wow!

yea it's horrible i loved the guy. he actually pulled the stinger out then died moments after

No, I didn't hear that. How terrible!!!!! You can't pull those things out! You have to push them on through to the other side or cut them surgically. They have barbs on them. I have seen many people step on one and be on crutches for up to a year. I am more afraid of sting ray than shark when I swim in the Gulf. They lay right under the sand's surface and you can't see them (like land mines). Ya gotta shuffle your feet to scare them away. I can't imagine he did that. I can't imagine how this whole thing happened in the first place. Just goes to show you that you never know what is gonna happen next or what you would do or how you would handle it. Only 12 people have ever died throughout time from a sting ray (on record). He was a great man.
