I would definitely say this war is going to go on for decades to come.
I think the reason is for more executive power. When we, the USA, is at war, the president basically has the authority to overrule any law for national security reasons.

I'd prefer to think it's not a legacy of war, but a legacy of safety.
WMD's or not, the world is better off without Sadaam Hussein in power.
By the way, if you believe it when people say that there are no links to terror in Iraq, you're absolutely crazy!!!
Links to terror have been found in every surrounding country, but not in Iraq?? Do you really believe that?? I don't.

YOU need to WAKE the Fk UP.... even your lefty bastards in the Democratic party admit it is for real... what damn la la land have you been dreaming in?
This terrorist sheet from Muslims was spawned during Jimmy Carter's administration.... he failed to respond. Then Reagan failed to respond in a firm manner.... then Bushelder responded in the wrong place.... then the Clinton thing and the Algore FAILED to respond to the Muslims and their terrorism.... then came 9-11-01 and the filthy Muslim attack on the WTC.... junior Bush responded.... and guess what? Those lefties who never said a word about all the attacks over the past 3 decades have crawled out of the sewer to spew their sheet now that America is responding to the damn Islamo-fascists....
Wake up FOOL of the LEFT.

911 terror attacks changed everything. i applaud the US for fighting evil nations when no European nation won't. i don't believe the US should fight large war alone. learn from the vietnam war. diplomacy is the thing we must achieve like JFK during the cuban missile crisis. shame on european nations for being wussies.

If you keep letting all that hate well up in you, you will explode. Sit down, take a couple deep breaths. Now, channel all that hate into something positive. Why don't you use all that energy and help your fellow Dem's come up with a workable platform. Cmon on. I know you can do it. ohhhh forgot. its easier to whine about it that do something about it.

For God's sake, don't you liberals ever give up with your negativity agenda? You constantly ask ridiculous and bogus questions concerning the most outrageous accusations - AND YOU THINK THIS STRATEGY WILL PROMOTE YOUR AGENDAS??????
It isn't working - get off the hate mongering and get yourselves a decent agenda to try and solve problems facing this country and stop adding to them. Maybe, just maybe, you'll get some support that way.

The war on terror is due to us being attacked time and time again since the 70's by Islamic extremists.

If you are going to discuss politics and military strategy, you should educate yourself thoroughly on the subjects. that way you can debate from a position of strength, instead of loosing before the debate even begins.

All that the Bush speech did for the majority was confirm how much of a criminal he really is for the impeachment proceedings in 07.
