My experience with individuals like yourself (regardless of what city they live in):
(1) They are non-conformists who dislike what the majority like. You are not one who automatically likes what everyone else likes.
(2) You're not a sports fan, and wish more of your fellow citizens were into the arts, or music.
(3) There's a self-hatred issue taking place.

Didn't the Chargers make the playoffs last year?
I know what you mean, though. I lived in SD for 6 years and I watched the Padres and the Chargers let so many good players get away. Its like the profesional teams there feel players want to play their sport and raise their families in SD so bad that they are willing to play for less money. Most players say, See ya".

I think thats more a question for YOu to ask yerself, not in here LOL. Padres are in Playoff hunt, last time i looked they led the Wildcard or Division, and the Chargers wont win Superbowl, but theyll be fun to watch this year with that offense.

It's ok. The Padres and Chargers suck no matter what city you live in.

Some people just don't like to root for their home teams. I'm the same way. I live in upstate New York, but all of my teams are southern. I think for me it was the fact that a lot of the local teams weren't good growing up, and that turned me away from them and toward other options.

just because you were born and raised and live in a city with sports teams does not mean you need to like the teams.

I don't know. Indianapolis is the closest sports teams for me, but other than the Arena football team, I'm a Chicago fan for baseball, football, and hockey.

Just because you live in the city it doesn't mean that you have to like the teams.
Now, if you lived in the hometown of the Packers, you'd be in deeeeep shi*t!
