Do you have a slow cooker? You can throw something together and it will be waiting for you later in the evening. Other fast things ... you can always get take out, order pizza ..

You can make quesadillas.
Just mix up some cut up chicken, cheese, peppers, onions, and whatever else you want and put that on like those circular tortilla things (you can get them at the store), put another one on top like a sandwhich, throw it in the microwave and voila!

Wrap up chicken with veggies and onions in foil, and slap it on the BBQ. No work, no mess, easy clean up, easy prep, tastes divine! Don't forget to season it all though.
