Both your love life and friendships are important.
But friendships are MORE IMPORTANT. They build trust and offer wisdom.
Even people in love, even supposedly "happily married couples" who don't have friends are leading barren lives of mutual suspicion --because they are placing too many burdens on each other!

I can only speak from my own experience.
I loved my husband and he was my best friend. Eventually over the years our relationship became more friends than lovers. I am not talking just about sex, but in all interactions.
So frankly... friendship is more important.
I have had the same 4 girlfriends for 29 years now, and my marriage ended emotionally after 7 years and officially after 9 1/2.... so friendship will always carry more weight... and I love my friends dearly.

Love life is more profound than friendship. Friendship is not as deep as love relationship.

You cant have a healthy love relationship with out being friends.. kinda doesnt work with out it atleast to some degree, the best marriages in the world are because their not only lovers but they are best friends ...

They're both important but why not just make your lover your best friend too then they can both exist.

wow that's really deep i thought ya needed both also my husband was my best friend but when the sex stopped it was too much for us both and then he found he could have it better with someone Else it became to "routine" and not a rush as it had been

You can certainly love someone who you hate, or who is by no means your friend.
