try this...remove the new video card, then put the old one back in...power on the system...when it comes up, uninstall the old drivers, reboot, then go into your video properties and make sure that it was changed it to standard pci vga...shut down windows...remove power, then install the geforce card, power up and install the proper drivers...

If you did not take out the old graphics card; or if your motherboard has an integrated graphics card, there is a conflict in the start-up - your BIOS will have to decide which resource to use. If it has no instructions, it will just use the latest installed hardware.

To avoid this, go to Control panel and hardware.. disable the other graphics hardware options

You certain to have a intergrated image card look on the lower back of the computing device there's a vga port there then there's a intergrated image card , abode windows os will deploy a usual vga driving force to get you a show whilst installation the os and working abode windows 8

i got the same geforce 6600 card

it is just the gfx card bios.

try to switch off the power current, take out the new card and put it back and make sure it is not wrongly placed.

Turn on the power and see what happens. the bios should be able to read it.

your bios on your motherboard is reading the info from the bios on the g force card, mine does this to, the hang should only be a fue seconds

did you fix the GRAPHIC CARD in your self or just the drivers? if you put the GRAPHIC CARD in then power off open the pc and make sure its in right
