I'm currently taking 17; it's a pretty heavy course load. Psychology, 2 French classes, Management Accounting, Career Perspectives, Yoga.

Last semester I took 18 hours (6 classes) and I made up three classes from being sick the previous semester. It was quite challenging. There was a fair amount of writing, but I like to write. But writing a 45 page teleplay in 10 hours about did me in the last day of school, since I had only had a few hours of sleep all that week. Luckily, a few of my classes ended early and didn't have finals during finals week. I managed 2 As and 4 Bs, plus 2 Bs on the make ups. I probably could have managed all As if I had had a lighter load.

19, but most of the classes were pretty easy. I only had 2 challenging courses that required me to put forth some effort.
I would say a good average is around 15 credit hours.

I've taken 18, which consisted of 4 4 credit classes and 2 1 credit classes.
The allowed max at my university was 18 and they would charge you extra money if you took more credits. I guess the university wanted to discourage those from overloading themselves - so to speak.

I typically enrolled for 18, but would add in the form of "credit by examination." A good way to titrate your own pace since the examinations don't have fixed dates.

18, but the hardest part was taking a special math course to prepare for the Florida Clast Test, Statistics I, and Business Calculus all at the same time.
