Are canned, smoked oysters safe to eat whilst pregnant?

Actually, yes they are. Any smoked fish, if CANNED is safe. It is just if it is refrigrated that it is not safe due to Listeria. Seafood in moderation is safe. To get an ammount that is unsafe to the unborn baby you would have to eat it more that 4-5 times per week

Probably in moderation, but check with the dr, I know tuna can contain high concentrations of mercury, or high enough so it's not recommended for a pregnant woman.

Seafood of any kind us unsafe to eat while you are pregnant. There is a significant amount of mercury in a lot of seafood its better not to than risk your child.
