I dont feel that there is a need for a photograph in your CV, altough attaching it should not cause any problems..

CV stands for "curriculum vitae" (from Latin) which is the same thing as a resume.

No a photo is not necessary. All a photo would do is alter the person sorting through resumes' view of you. They might have hidden prejudices that can work against you. They might be judging a book by its cover instead of what's inside.

You would want a photo if applying for an audition for acting or when modeling (usually a black and white 8x10 on one side, and your resume on the other side), however, modeling requires a card with different pictures and some other info.

No! You want to be considered for a job based only on your experience, skills, and qualification--not on your appearance.

Photographs sway an employer, either consciously or unconsciously, to discriminate for or against you based on the employer's personal biases regarding beauty, race, gender, age, even your facial expression or choice of clothing in your photo.

If you were highly qualified for a job, you wouldn't want an employer to reject your resume because he or she didn't like the way you looked, would you? That's unfair to you.

And if you were hired because you were attractive over someone who was more qualified than you for the job, that would be unfair to other job applicants; it would also leave the employer open to discrimination lawsuits.

The only exception would be if a particular appearance was a bona fide job requirement, e.g. acting, modeling, etc., then you would consider sending a photo.

Other than that, my suggestion is to leave your photo out of it!
I personally wouldn't apply to a company that required a photo.

Good luck!

it is good practice to attach a photograph but if u r throwing resume where u have already given an interview then the better option is not to attach the photograph to u r CV, panel taking the interview might recall u r face..

Yes. Some screeners tend to read and scrutinize your curriculum vitae more when they see that you are presentable in the photograph you attach. All others tend to go to the "pending" tray, later to go to the shredders, unless the educational degree and work experience listed are worth encircling.

No need, If the the employer specifically wants it, you can attach a passport size photo.

Not required. Recruiters will ask for Identity like Pan card, voter card, passport anyway. So not required at all.

Not unless asked for one. A C.V ( Curriculum Vitae) is just a resume.
