A family member gave me an old headboard/footboard with matching lamp that are made of, what they told me, wormwood. I tried searching wormwood but found nothing really saying what wormwood is besides a plant and liquor ingredients. It's an old beautiful piece. Is wormwood called something else now? Any ideas about it?

A Yahoo search for "wormwood furniture" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 380 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek.

Good luck with your search.

might not be correct, but i remember(pre absinthe return) that worm wood was a term for wood(usually fine hard) that has many little invasive parasite grooves and tunnels through out the wood stock,i think it looks great, especially in burl grained woods.
