There are some possible answers that have been proffered. My guess is that in general, the person tends to have certain issues with sweat or nasal congestion and simply chooses among the two most common colours that bandannas come in. I suppose that it depends on context, just like many other things in life.

Are we talking about guys who hang around street corners looking dangerous? If so it means that they're gang members. Red bandanas are the Bloods and blue bandanas are the Crypts. What ever you do, don't piss 'em off.

its a form of showing what gang you belong from
the bloods and crips orriginated in america ahnd youngsters thought itll be cool to bring it to other countries.
blue bandanas is the colours for crips and red bandanas are the colours for the bloods.
it all started in territorial dipute the were old middle aged and young all boys and girls women and men.
and its not just from jean pockets thats just a ""cool"" way of wearing their colours normally real crips and bloods are mainly dressed in there gang colours.

My sense of propriety says to do the right thing and tell him you're partnered. On the other hand (no pun intended)....he's a UPS man!!! How many of us have fantasized about those hunks in brown?! Maybe you SHOULD get a ring on that nipple. Of course, that just may make matters worse. You could always ask for a longer leash. *wink*

i think gay men use different color bandanas to indicate different sexual activities bbut i dont know what the colors stand for
