Yes. However, the question should be, will your suit against the industry prosper?
Highly unlikely.
First of all, in tort cases, there must be absence of contributory negligence. Since everybody knows that eating too much candy can erode the protective enamel of your teeth, you should've brushed regularly.
Second of all, your case will fall under damnum absque injuria - its latin for damage without injury. In tort, you need to prove both damage and injury.
Finally, don't you think that by eating candy there is an assumption of risk on your part?
Any one of these abovementioned reasons would temper the company's liability if not absolve it. All three would surely and totally negate its liability and you could even be liable in a countercharge for malicious prosecution.

Absolutely and your chances of success is guaranteed. Smokers are not responsible for the damage smoking does, just think inhaling burning leaves that the package says will kill you is bad for you, curse those tricky cigarette companies. Eating greasy hamburgers three times will make you fat but fear not, it is not your fault, it is the responsibility of McDonald's stockholders to make sure that you eat right. So of course your teeth are not your responsibility.
So sue away my friend, unfortunately the money will go to the selfless lawyers who make all off this happen. There will be no money left for your dentistry or a 12 step candy treatment.

I am sorry, but this is rediculous. This is as absurd as the lady who sued McDonald's for her children eating McDonald's food nearly 3x per day, and then blaming them for thier obesity.
Just like this, why would you want to sue a company for a choice you made? It is not thier fault that you chose to eat thier product too much over the years and not follow-up with good and proper dental hygeine. It is your choice, and it is one that you have to live with. Don't go blaming anyone here. They did not force the product down your throat. If anything just suck it up as a mistake you made over the years, and go to the dentist and take care of the problem.

Can you sue? Sure! Are you going to collect anything? Nope!
Their lawyers will make you look like a backwater hick too stupid to use a toothbrush. Then they'll point out that that would have avoided the problem altogether.
At least natural selection will prevent you from passing this on to your kids.

Recently I visited the dentist and she had a list of offending foods that can lead to decay. Any candy that stick to your teeth was the description, which G-N-P would definately fall under. Since it is public knowledge it's doubtful but you can always try.

That stinks! I constantly desire that too! yet you be attentive to, it is purely fake merchandising. like the bunny commercial, who in there maximum suitable techniques might commerce skittles for a singing bunny! Atleast the product nevertheless tastes sturdy! YUM, besides the fact that it may well be better with a rainbow or 2 and a few raining skittles!

You can sue anyone you want to sue. Of course that doesn’t make it right or likely to be successful. This sounds to me to be a frivolous suit and likely to be dismissed. Then too there have been many really frivolous suits that have succeeded.
You wouldn't want me on the jury.

Only if you consumed no other sugary substances and can show that an addictive force was insurmountable and of course you would have needed to save all of the IPCs to prove proof of purchase.

Absolutely! Be sure you include how the company forced those candies through your closed lips and forced you to chew them.
