Or are they extremely young trying (very badly) to seem older? Or are they just completely cluess? If some of the writing on here represents the population of the world as I grow older, I think I may start considering self-administering the hemloche...

Shall I post an example, so we're all on the same page? I'm not talking about grammar. I'm talking about what usually amounts to one long stream of nonsense that takes at least a couple reads to try to decipher what the person was trying to say.... kind of like when George W. tries to speak...

A lot of people don't see the point in grammar or spelling on the Internet, which I think accounts for a lot of what you're seeing. I have also noted a fairly heavy population of non-native English speakers. Sometimes, it's hard to tell the difference, except the non-native speakers tend to be better spellers.

Impossible to know.

Many people are from other countries, so their spelling & grammar is somewhat limited compared to native English speakers.
Others are young and still learning.
Still others are older, but have stopped learning.
And yes, a few really are clueless.

Simply drunk?

No. More like 'complexedly drunk'. Or 'complicatedly drunk'. Or 'completely clueless'.... oh wait, you said that.

And in passing, I believe you meant 'hemlock', as in the poisonous plant which Socrates is said to have imbibed as his parting draught (as punishment for 'corrupting' the youth of Athens). Alas, that some of our youth would be 'corrupted' with the desire to philosophize - in correctly spelt monologues!

LOL. I have been drunk and written questions before. Also, I have laughed at some grammatical errors, as well as, the spelling errors. Kind of like life you never know who's doing what.
