Advantages: zippers, Velcro, new easy to care fabrics
Disadvantages: the way we dress altogether! or not dress. It amazes me to see young girls showing pretty Much everything
they have, leaving little to the imagination. As well, it is not practical.
And the cost? It would be so simple to wear simple flattering flowing dresses and pant suits and for men, imitate Indian (Hindu) light pants with
a light top. We will probably get there sometime soon.
Dreamer...
Stay cool!

Advantages: pockets, elimination of friction (blisters) ability to travel (walk) further and with less fatigue.
Disadvantages: you become a slave to style and fashion.
With new durable polymers like Kevlar, wouldn't you be willing to pay extra for one week/ month worth of clothes that would never wear out...? I'd sure like to save the money I would otherwise have spent on changing styles and fashions for other purposes!

I'd sure like to get back to robes and togas ... the Romans and Greeks were pretty comfy ... wearing sandals all the time.
Most of us layer these days so we can adapt to controlled weather and we have pockets for the many things we are required to tote about us.
And we have underwear and socks! What a relief THAT is!
