I'm 25 and I never been on BC before, I started using one called Estrostep about 6 months now. I also recently changed it too, but I can't remember the name right now. Okay I've been feeling fine but I also have been having my pierod more often than usual and spotting every other week. I had my peirod 3 times last month and I also spotted. I think it's the BC but I need to know has anyone else have this problem, I'm not stressed and I feel fine (no weird symptoms) so What the hell is it??? It's making my sex life an issue cause I got to work around when or if I get my peirod, and no I do not like to have sex with my peirod and niether does my BF. I want it to stop!!!

Maybe you should ask your doctor to switch you to seasonale. It is my third birth control I have tried and I have been on it for 6 months now and i love it so much. You only get your period every 3 months which means no cramps, no PMS, aches and best of all no blood. My period is lighter and shorter on this pill than any others I have been on. It is a little more expensive then regular pills but it is heaven!

If you are just a few months into using a new brand, this is TOTALLY normal. It usually takes a few months for your body to set itself up on a regular schedule. If you want to be on the pill, I would suggest waiting at least another few months and then talk to your Dr. The dose may simply be wrong for you and you might have the find the right pill that meets your needs....but again its normal for the moment, just wait it out.

talk to your doctor about getting a pill with a bit more estrogen. sometimes breakthrough bleeding is related to instability of the uterine lining due to inadequate amounts of estrogen. it's also very common in the first few months of taking a new pill. be sure to take your pill at the same time everyday and call your doctor immediately if you start having heavy bleeding (filling up a large tampon every hour or so).

My wife had all kinds of problem with the pill and everything else. She got an IUD (they are much better now than they used to be) and it has been a miracle. She gets her period just the same, but it's up in there and causes no problems at all.

I have tried the pill, the shot and the IUD. I recommend the pill over everything. You still get your period, but if you want to have kids, well, that's what I suggest. And have them give you loestrin. And don't use triphazals (sp?)

If you recently changed pills, it's normal. If it keeps up, you may need to switch pills.
